    Pat Berg: Swimming Champion
    PAT BERG: Swimming Champion

  • Pat smashed her seed times and was fantastic in three races at National Senior Games just completed in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
  • Here is a photo following her third event (100 yards -- 4 lengths) beating her seed time by 24 secs) following her also finishing the 200 yards (8 lengths) 3 secs under seed and the 50 (2 lengths) right on her seed.
  • She had people ahead and behind her in all three of her races, swum in heats by age and seed time. 13,000 people-- third most ever-- at these National Senior Games. Pat did TERRIFIC job being competitive with her peers at this major national championship.
  • Thanks for this photo by fellow swimmer Wendy Love. We may also have video from Wendy, and Pat also spoke off camera with Mary Carillo of NBC Sports, who covered the event at poolside during the races. Stay tuned for video from Wendy.
